Situation

Madinat Jumeirah Living, one of the most luxurious hotels in the world and developed by Dubai Holding, needed to upgrade their current CCTV system to incorporate a total security solution. Securing both the premises along with the people who work and visit the hotel was of prime importance, so required a fully integrated, user-friendly solution.

Solution

Wavestore’s video management system, installed on the supplied video server, enables the synchronization of high-definition video with audio, as well as metadata from processes, devices and sub-systems.

With 900 Hanwha cameras within the security solution, the huge amounts of data recorded were stored on Wavestore’s Lage Allocation Storage System (LASS), which makes searching and retrieval of video data quick and easy. To enable this, every image in the storage volume is indexed, meaning that playing back video, even from the largest data-set, is effectively instantaneous. With all streams coming through to one intuitive video wall, operators were able to view situations in real time and change the layout as required.
